Four Women
In the 1980’s, civil wars were raging in Central America, thus creating many political and economic refugees.
Mother Art empathized with the families who were forced to leave their countries. We
created a one minute video entitled “Gloria,” which told the story of a woman from Central America
who became a member of the “Mothers of the Disappeared.”
We also created four assemblages illustrating the lives of women who had come to Los Angeles to escape
persecution and torture.
